Introduction
For NGC Medical, transparency is one of the most important values. We do not only want to maintain uncompromisingly the highest reliability and quality of our products and services, but also to be recognised as a benchmark and as an institutionally reliable company with integrity in providing its services.
For this reason, NGC Medical, fully agreeing with the principles on transparency of transfers of value outlined by the trade associations, has decided to publish data on transfers of value made to Healthcare Professionals, Healthcare Organisations and Third Parties in the scientific community on an annual basis as of 2021. The first publication refers to the calendar year 2020 and has been available since 29 April 2021.
What are the transfers of value?
A transfer of value consists of any interaction between the medical industry and the scientific community, which has been well regulated for a long time, including:
- Financial and other types of donations
- Scholarships
- Sponsorship of conferences, congresses, scientific meetings and theoretical-practical courses aimed at satisfying an educational need
- Professional advice and services
- Participation of healthcare professionals in training and/or promotional events organised by NGC Medical
- Research and development
